See your conversion rate and revenue per visitor, and what reaching a target conversion rate would add to revenue with the same traffic.

## What it calculates

Conversion rate is the share of sessions that end in an order. Revenue per visitor (RPV) combines conversion and order value in one number, which makes it the fairest way to compare pages or campaigns. Raising conversion rate grows revenue without buying more traffic.

## Formula

```
Conversion rate = Orders ÷ Sessions
RPV = Revenue ÷ Sessions
AOV = Revenue ÷ Orders
Orders at target = Sessions × target rate
Extra revenue = (Orders at target − orders) × AOV
```

## Worked example

Inputs:
- Sessions: 50000
- Orders: 900
- Revenue: USD 54,000
- Target conversion rate: 2.5%

Results:
- Conversion rate: 1.8%
- Revenue per visitor: USD 1.08
- Average order value: USD 60
- Orders at the target rate: 1,250
- Extra revenue at the target rate: USD 21,000

## What changes the result

Target conversion rate at five values; every other input as in the example.

| Target conversion rate | Orders at the target rate | Extra revenue at the target rate |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 1.3% | 650 | -USD 15,000 |
| 1.9% | 950 | USD 3,000 |
| 2.5% (example) | 1,250 | USD 21,000 |
| 3.1% | 1,550 | USD 39,000 |
| 3.8% | 1,900 | USD 60,000 |

## How to read the result

Compare your conversion rate with your own past months and between traffic sources, rather than with another store's.
If conversion is low only on paid traffic, the issue is usually the ad's promise, not the page.

## Questions

**How do I calculate ecommerce conversion rate?**
Divide orders by sessions in the same period, then multiply by 100 for a percentage.

**What is revenue per visitor?**
Revenue divided by sessions. It shows how much each visit is worth, combining conversion rate and order value.

**What is a good conversion rate?**
It depends on price, traffic source and category. Track your own trend and compare traffic sources against each other.

**Do you store what I enter?**
No. The calculation runs in your browser and nothing is sent to Analify.

## Use your real numbers

Analify reads sessions and conversion rate from Google Analytics and orders and revenue from Shopify, side by side for the same period. Analify reads 3 of these 4 inputs live. Try the calculator: https://analify-ai.scalyax.ai/tools/conversion-rate-calculator
