How to see profit across Shopify, Meta Ads and TikTok Ads
Connect Shopify, Meta Ads and TikTok Ads to Analify, add your product costs, then ask the Analify Agent to show profit for the same date range. Blended Profit = Revenue − Ad Spend − Shipping − COGS − Returns. Use Shopify revenue once and combine spend from both ad platforms. Add available shipping and return costs before treating the result as complete.
Before you start
- An Analify account and permission to connect your store and ad accounts.
- Your Shopify store, Meta Ads account and TikTok Ads account.
- Product costs for each variant, plus shipping and return costs. Connect Bosta if you use it; it is the only supported courier today.
- A date range and reporting currency to use consistently across the calculation.
Steps
Step 1
Connect the three accounts
In Analify, open Settings → Integrations and connect Shopify, Meta Ads and TikTok Ads. Check that each source has data for the dates you want to compare. If you ship with Bosta, connect it here too.
Step 2
Add product costs and check coverage
In Analify Finance, use Product costs to enter variant costs or sync available Shopify costs. Ask the Analify Agent which products still have missing costs. Fill those gaps before relying on product margins.
Step 3
Ask for the blended calculation
Ask the Analify Agent for Blended Profit over your chosen dates. Request Shopify revenue, Meta spend, TikTok spend, shipping, COGS and returns as separate lines, with sources and coverage. Use ad spend, rather than account top-ups or card payments. Ask it to identify missing costs and avoid subtracting refunds or return costs twice.
Step 4
Compare channels and products
Ask for a channel comparison and a product profit table. Have the Agent show how revenue and ad spend are attributed or allocated, and flag orders it cannot match. Check Advertising for platform results and Finance's Product P&L for product earnings using available costs. Product P&L documents available Meta spend; use the Agent to investigate TikTok spend rather than assuming every product row includes it.
Step 5
Check an illustrative example
Illustrative example — not customer results: Shopify revenue is $100,000. Meta spend is $15,000 and TikTok spend is $10,000. Shipping is $8,000, COGS is $40,000 and returns cost $7,000. Blended Profit = 100,000 − 25,000 − 8,000 − 40,000 − 7,000 = $20,000. Here, the returns amount is separate from shipping and has not already been deducted from revenue.
Step 6
Review the evidence before changing spend
Check sources, calculation details and missing-input warnings. If you want a budget change, ask the Analify Agent to prepare a supported action. Review the approval card's exact change and reason, then approve it in the app.
Try these questions
- “Show Blended Profit for the last 30 days using Shopify revenue and Meta plus TikTok spend. List shipping, COGS, returns and missing inputs separately.”
- “Compare Meta and TikTok profit for the same dates. Show the attribution method and any revenue that cannot be assigned.”
- “Which products made the most after costs? Show missing variant costs and explain how you allocated Meta and TikTok spend.”
- “Why did profit fall compared with the previous period? Show the numbers behind the change.”
Good to know
- Results depend on connected sources, their latest successful updates and cost coverage. Missing costs do not mean zero costs.
- Do not add Meta-attributed and TikTok-attributed revenue to Shopify revenue. Channel attribution can overlap; Blended Profit uses business revenue once.
- TikTok reporting spend is available through the connection. Automatic TikTok ad-payment entries in Finance are coming soon.
- Blended Profit excludes fixed costs such as salaries, rent and software; it is not accounting net profit.
- Reading and calculating do not change your accounts. Supported actions in the Analify app require approval and follow your permissions.
Questions
Can I calculate profit with just the three connections?
They provide store revenue and ad spend. You still need product costs, shipping and returns for the full formula. Connect Bosta if you use it, or add the missing cost records in Analify. Check coverage before trusting the total.
Why can strong ROAS still mean low profit?
ROAS compares attributed revenue with ad spend. It leaves out product costs, shipping and returns. Blended Profit subtracts those costs to show what the business kept.
Can I ask Claude or ChatGPT instead?
Yes. After connecting your accounts in Analify, connect your supported AI client to the unified endpoint https://analify.scalyax.ai/api/mcp/analify and authorize access. It can use the connected platforms and native product-cost tools. These guides use the Analify app for approval; external clients have their own write-confirmation behavior.
Why use Analify instead of exports in a Project?
Exports work for a one-off calculation, and direct connectors work well for focused platform questions. Analify keeps supported sources and product costs connected so you can repeat the cross-platform check with visible evidence and coverage.
